The Burton Hotel and Cloud 9 is an independent family run hotel. John & Annabelle Richardson owned and managed the hotel for 38 years and on 1st March 2024 they handed over the reins to Jana and Toby Hyde. Jana will be a familiar face to many as she managed the hotel 12 years ago. After leaving she had a family and is now back as the new owner and manager. Jana, Toby and the team look forward to welcoming customers old and new. You can be assured of a warm welcome and great service whilst staying or dining with us, popping in for a drink or using Cloud 9 pool and gym.
Our stunning pool, gym and spa make it a wonderful retreat to escape and relax from the hustle and bustle. Located in the centre of a small market town near the Welsh border, Kington is a Centre for Walking, with Offa's Dyke, Mortimers Trail and The Wyche Way all easily accessible from the town centre.
If you enjoy golf, then we have ten golf courses within easy driving distance and you can also practice your putting on our very own all weather 9 hole putting course.
Our deluxe South Wing opened in 2016. The accommodation offers all the modern comforts todays discerning traveller expects.
Each of our deluxe ensuite bedrooms are decorated in a contemporary style and have super kingsize beds, a sofa bed, desk, free wifi, television, mini fridge and complimentary tea and coffee. Large fluffy towels, bathrobes, slippers and complimentary toiletries are also provided.
In addition there is a first floor apartment with two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lounge and kitchen can be accessed from each bedroom and provide all amenities for self-catering. Breakfast in particular is hearty and with ample (easily)portions. Parking is free and easy. Would definitely return.
